*Selenium contributes to the normal function of the immune system and the thyroid gland, supports normal sperm formation and helps to keep hair and nails healthy. It also helps to protect cells from oxidative stress. In our formula, we also use a selenium complex consisting of selenomethionine and sodium selenite. These two forms are absorbed differently in the body and complement each other ideally: selenomethionine (organic) is absorbed more slowly and incorporated into proteins - so it is available to the body for longer periods as a kind of storage form. Sodium selenite (inorganic), on the other hand, is utilized quickly and is directly available for selenium metabolism, making it ideal for supporting the body's current needs in a targeted manner.
